ASKEW’S new look by the next generation is all about you feeling well and looking great!

I have completely changed my business.  Surveys say hairdressers are the happiest people in their work TRUE.  That’s because we like helping clients to look their best.

Hairdressing has been in my family since 1922, Great granddad John; granddad John; my father John to my brother Steve, then to me.  With each generation we have taken the business the way each member has chosen.

My father enjoyed having two salons in Sudbury both completely different, then slowing down and working towards his retirement thus reducing to one salon.  My brother Steve was really ambitious:  seventeen salons, with one hundred and twenty five staff and an artistic team that travelled demonstrating to other salons and trade shows.

I really enjoyed working alongside my father, a humble gentleman who left me deciding which way I should run my business.  With a few personal challenges and big decisions I have decided to invest in treatment rooms within my salon to be used by professionals to ensure each and every client be treated as an individual, helping them to feel well and look great!

The team consists of Hairdressers that are experienced in all aspects of hair care; Beauticians, Holistic Therapist; very experienced Masseuse; Life Coach; Cosmetic Specialist and an Image Consultant.

To incorporate the salon as a whole I have introduced a logo and changed the name to 4 seasons at Askew’s, each room having its own name which are Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter in order that each independent practitioner can develop his or her own business.
